Q. What is Stampin’ Up!?

A. Stampin’ Up! is a direct-selling company that offers rubber stamps and paper crafting products through a network of independent contractors called demonstrators. Q. What is direct selling?

A. Direct selling, often referred to as network marketing, is very similar to retail marketing. In a retail marketing model, a company creates a product, which it then sends to a distributor, who then delivers it to a retail store where the customer can purchase the product. Direct selling companies, however, provide products directly to independent contractors--which Stampin' Up! refers to as demonstrators--who then sell them to a network of customers or clients. Most often, these businesses are run from a person’s home, earning the moniker ‘home-based business’.

Stampin’ Up! utilises a direct selling business model for many reasons. When Shelli Gardner, CEO and cofounder of Stampin’ Up!, first began developing the idea of a rubber stamp company, she envisioned one that would allow demonstrators the freedom to be as involved as they wanted to be, or as much as their situation dictated they could be. From hobbyists who fund their stamping hobby with periodic sales, to full-time demonstrators who have developed a successful home-based business, you’ll find a wide range of participation within the ranks of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators.

Additionally, a direct-selling business model provides the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships, another Stampin’ Up! goal. When you become involved with Stampin’ Up!, you’ll find that the relationship you build with your demonstrator--or with your customers--reaches beyond business-client; rather, that relationship can become a friendship that can last a lifetime.

Q. What does Stampin’ Up! sell? Do you have a catalogue?

A. Stampin’ Up!’s flagship product is its exclusive line of award-winning rubber stamps. These stamps feature unique designs deeply etched into rubber and mounted on wood blocks. Additionally, Stampin’ Up!’s stamps come in sets, making project coordination simple and fun.

Stampin’ Up! also provides inks, markers, and paper products—all grouped into exclusive colour families. You’ll also find embellishments, such as eyelets and other hardware, and accessories to make paper crafting simpler, quicker, and more exciting.

You can find all of these products in Stampin’ Up!’s full-colour catalogues. But products aren’t the only thing you’ll find in the over 100 pages that make up this fabulous resource. You’ll also find fantastic samples that you can use to create your own projects or inspire new ideas. The annual catalogue is available for purchase from any Stampin’ Up! demonstrator and is also available for review online.

Q. How can I purchase Stampin’ Up! products?

A. Stampin’ Up! products are available for purchase through a network of independent contractors called demonstrators. While you can contact a demonstrator to place individual orders, we recommend that you set up a time with a demonstrator to host a workshop in your home. A Stampin’ Up! workshop is an evening filled with fun and friends as well as personalised instruction on the art of rubber stamping presented by a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.

Q. How do I become a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator?

A. If you are interested in being one of the very first Stampin’ Up! demonstrators in this new market, print and fill out the three forms below and give them to your local demonstrator. You are also welcome to contact us by phone or e-mail with any questions you might have, or for help in locating a demonstrator in your area.

Q. I have a friend who is a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in Australia. Can I sign up as a part of her downline?

A. Stampin’ Up! does not allow cross-country or cross-border sponsorship. In order to sign up as a part of a demonstrator’s downline, that demonstrator must be established to do business in New Zealand.
