Clearsnap, Inc. Becomes a Gardner Company
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (January 10, 2006) – Clearsnap, Inc., a leading US manufacturer of pigment-dyed and chalk stamp pads and other stamping accessories located in Anacortes, WA has been purchased by Clearsnap Holding, Inc., a Washington corporation owned by Sterling and Shelli Gardner who also own Stampin’ Up!®
Stampin’ Up! is currently one of Clearsnap’s largest customers, and while the acquisition will generate synergies for both companies, their operations will in no way be affiliated. Clearsnap will continue to service its other customers without change for the foreseeable future.
“Clearsnap is an incredibly innovative, unique company. I’m excited to work with its employees continuing to provide great products and new innovations to the craft market,” says Sterling Gardner. “There’s no limit to what this company can do.”
Sterling Gardner will step in as president of Clearsnap, Inc., replacing Jeff Winston, the company’s founder. There are no plans to move production from the Anacortes facility.
The Gardner’s earliest company, Stampin’ Up!, was co-founded by Shelli Gardner and has been directed by her for the past 17 years. Stampin’ Up! is a multi-level marketing company that manufactures and sells decorative rubber stamps and crafting accessories for card making and scrapbooking. It has been nominated by Utah’s “Best of State” organization for the past two years as the state’s best manufacturer of rubber and plastic products.
The Gardners were drawn to Clearsnap because it is a North American company and a top US manufacturer in the crafting industry that competes very efficiently with foreign markets. Clearsnap currently employs 66 people.
