October 5 is World Card Making Day. It’s a day to celebrate creativity and to make something meaningful. It’s also a day to kick off the holiday season and get a head start on making seasonal cards.
To celebrate this wonderful day, each concept artist has created a card to share with you. Making cards is a great way to express your creativity and foster relationships. We hope that this inspires you to make a card for someone on October 5.
In addition, Stampin’ Up is having a contest . . . to inspire you even further!
There are two ways to enter.
This contest is open to everyone—demonstrators, customers, friends, spouses, children . . . you get the idea! However, there are a few conditions:
A selection of pictures will be posted to our World Card Making Day Pinterest board and the winners will be announced in a current update.
Have fun creating your cards!

To the person who made the black card with the white honeycomb pattern, it is beautiful! All of them are, but I am so curious on how you did it? It looks like chalk! Did you run a pad over the raised embossed area? Or put ink in the embossing folder? I love the white "chalk" look on SU's basic black cardstock, but I have no idea on how to do it. Congratulations to those who won and whose magnificent cards are shown here!
We had a great day Fund Raising for the Ronald McDonald house St Pete and Celebrating World Card Making day for our 3rd annual event at First Lutheran Church in Inverness FL We were able to raise $302 to purchase envelopes and postage stamps to keep our card program going in the upcoming year. It was so fun to see our demonstrators working together and the customers having so much fun creating and sharing with each other.
What a fun day!! I was so into making cards that I only submitted one entry (dah!). Thank you SU for having a party!!! (P.S. Is it my computer or does anybody else have only half pictures of the above cards? Wish I could see them.)
