Introducing Stampin’ Up!’s 2013–2014 Artisan Design Team

We are thrilled to introduce our fabulous 2013–2014 Artisan Design Team! Over the next year they will share projects on their personal blogs—and will occasionally contribute to Stampin’ Up!’s corporate blog. You will also see their creations every month on Stampin’ Up!’s Facebook page. Be sure to follow the work of these talented demonstrators! They are an amazing group with lots of inspiring ideas, projects, and techniques to share!

My name is Jane Lee and I’ve been a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator for a little over nine years. My favorite craft product by far is the Big Shot. I don’t know how I ever lived without it! I love the embossing folders and all the dies, Framelits, and Thinlits. I also hoard Designer Series Paper. When I finally have the courage to cut up the paper, I save every little scrap I haven’t used because I WILL find a way to use it later. I LOVE PAPER SCRAPS!

My stamping style is Urban Grunge. I love distressed paper and crumpled bits of anything. I also love to upcycle items to go on my craft projects. My favorite item to up-cycle is cardboard. I’ve also been known to use chicken wire, aluminum, and window screens.

I’m an extremely adventurous girl (I was even a luge athlete for five years) and I love to be outdoors. I’m super silly and I laugh a lot. I love to meet new people and travel to new places. I’m also a math and science nerd, but Stampin’ Up! has allowed me to express my creative side, as well.

I live in Saratoga Springs, Utah with my three little boys, amazing husband, and chocolate lab puppy. I’m excited to be on the Artisan Design Team for the second year in a row, and I’m even more excited to lead such a great group of girls!

My name is Erica Cerwin. I have officially been a Stampin' Up demonstrator for four years, but have been scrapbooking for about 17 years!

If I had to choose just one (What? Who has just one?!) favorite product, it would have to be the Designer Series Paper Stacks—the Brights, specifically! They are so fun and vibrant. They are my "go to" product for sure! I use them on all kinds of projects! Second to that would HAVE to be Stampin' Dimensionals. I would never be able to create without these babies!

My stamping style is definitely LOUD! I stamp mainly in Brights and I love lots of layers. I have a hard time knowing when to stop on a project! The more "stuff," the better! But, in recent months, I've been pushing myself to create things with a "clean and simple" look. It's not going so well. . . ! :-)

In real life, I am a first grade teacher, a wife and a mother to three crazy little girls, and I'm fueled by Diet Coke and peanut butter!

My name is Mercedes Weber and I signed up to be a demonstrator in 2004.

I am totally smitten with all of Stampin Up's products but I could not live without my Big Shot!!! I was at convention when it was first announced and I have been a believer ever since! I'm pretty addicted to Baker's Twine, too! Yep, I would put it on EVERY card I make if I could! Hey wait . . . I can!

My stamping style is all over the place but my favorite is the shabby chic/vintage look. It also seems as if I have to add texture and distressing to everything! Why? It makes me happy!!

I have lived in Northern California for all of my life. Go Niners! I have four beautiful daughters and an absolutely uh-mazing husband who supports my craziness 100 percent! I'm a self-proclaimed cupcake-aholic! I'm also a huge country music fan and have a bit of an obsession with the Marvel Super Hero movies! I {heart} Iron Man!

I am beyond blessed to have been selected to serve on this year’s Artisan Design Team alongside such amazing talent! Hope you enjoy our creations and are inspired to create your own works of art!

My name is Jennifer Timko and I have been a Stampin' Up demonstrator for 6-1/2 years.

Choosing a favorite Stampin' Up! product is pretty hard to do, but I have to say that the ribbons are one of the things I love most. There is something about a beautiful bow that makes a project really special, and Stampin' Up! ribbons always coordinate so perfectly.

My style as a stamper is clean and detailed. I love clean lines but try to add special elements to my projects to make each one unique.

I am a busy mom of two boys, enjoy my stamping business, and am also a pilot for United Airlines. I was in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years and then started flying for United in 1999.

Stamping provides the perfect outlet for my creativity and Stampin' Up! provides the perfect tools to create projects I love. I am thrilled to be part of the 2013 Artisan Design Team and can't wait to share ideas with you!

My name is Becky Cowley. I am a work-from-home mother of the most precious 5-year-old, and am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator of almost 7 years! Although I mostly demonstrate to support my stamping addiction, I remain a demonstrator because I absolutely LOVE the high-quality products Stampin' Up! has to offer!

If you follow me on my blog, you know I love texture on my cards. My all-time favorite products are the embossing folders; they can bring a card from a "Hmmm, that's nice" to a "Wow, that's cool!" in a matter of seconds!

I am also loving the new Buttons and Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Molds and Simply Pressed Clay. I mean, how awesome is it to be able to mold your own embellishments in any color you want?!

And have you checked out the recently-released Undefined Stamp Carving Kit? I couldn't help but squeal with excitement when they were unveiled at Convention 2013! I am having so much fun coming up with ideas for my own custom-designed stamps!

With the wide variety of products offered through Stampin' Up!, everyone is sure to find something they love. Me? I love it all! I have a very eclectic, anything-goes sort of style—with the exception of random stamping. It is my weakness! I admit—I cannot do random stamping. Perhaps it is my compulsiveness to have everything neat, clean, and in perfect order.

Besides living a long, healthy life spent with my family—and stamping, of course—my dream is that one day my husband and I will be able to retire and travel around the world on motorcycles. Of course, since Stampin' Up! is available in so many markets, I would definitely be stopping along the way to stamp with all of my fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world!

Hello, my name is Cindy Schuster. I just celebrated my fifth anniversary as a demonstrator with Stampin’ Up!

My favorite product is My Digital Studio! I LOVE it so much! I use it for everything I do in my life—from scrapbooking to making flyers. My stamping style is graphic—clean and simple—with a flair for crafty, functional fun!

I have been married for 20 years to my high school sweetheart. We have two amazing daughters and one lovable dog, Annabelle. I have been the youth group director at our church for the past four years. My favorite kind of day is when I can create and stamp with my friends for hours and hours!

I am also a Disney fanatic! Love everything about Disney! I am counting down to my next Walt Disney World trip soon! I am sure that a My Digital Studio photo album will be created right after it!

My name is Jeanna Bohanon and I have been a demonstrator for eight years. I live in Las Vegas, NV and am completely outnumbered at home with three adorable little boys and my very supportive and patient husband (he's pretty cute too). I am thrilled to be able to be part of this amazing design team for a second year in a row.

I would definitely say that my all-time fave Stampin' Up! product is by far My Digital Studio! It has changed my entire way of thinking about creating and scrapbooking. I can create anywhere, even with the boys hanging on me—and I have also been known to "MDS" while hubby has the wheel on road trips!

I would have to say that I have a kind of blended style with an eye for the classic and a love for the trendy. I like a clean and graphic style, but I like to have fun with it, too. Polka dots, chevrons, and hexagons make me HAPPY (that's actually pretty easy to do).

I love being outdoors and prefer the country or the beach to the city (even though that's where I live). I LOVE anything that is Pool Party or Coastal Cabana in color . . . and I might be addicted to Big Red chewing gum!

My name is Alanna Wharf. I have been a demonstrator for five years and am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve on the Artisan Design Team. I am excited to share this role with so many great ladies this year!

My favorite and most-used product (aside from the basics: paper, stamps, and ink) has got to be the Big Shot and Textured Impressions Embossing Folders. I love the dimension that can be added with a little texture, some layers . . . and spongin’!  I also really love very simple, clean cards and how accomplished one can feel by turning plain paper into a simple but beautiful creation!

I like shabby and pretty, yet I also love the look of grunge—while appreciating the clean, simple look, too. I really like to dabble in a variety of styles and sometimes mix these styles together!

I am married to my super-supportive husband, Ryan, and we have two really great boys! One of the most fun things about my job is using the tools in my studio to prepare for my son's birthday parties. Outside of stamping, I have a curiosity for photography, love potato chips (yes, even more than chocolate!), and home-baked cookies. I am also thankful that a good dose of laughter is a pretty good cure for almost anything! What’s even better than any of these things? When stamping and all of these things come together!

Hi, my name is Cathy Caines and I live in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. I will be a demonstrator for two years in October.

Alongside my daughter Jane (3), and son Jack (9 months), I like to get my hands dirty and try different tricks by using different mediums and techniques. I call myself an emotional scrapbooker. I like to scrapbook everyday pictures, music, etc.—anything to bring me back to that moment.

As of today, my favorite products are the Classic Stampin’ Ink Refills . . . and the Thinlits . . . and the 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Ribbon . . . ummm. I love them all. My style is very clean and simple. I adore white on white and I never seem to have enough Pearl Basic Jewels.

This opportunity is a dream come true and I am so happy to share it with you all. But don't expect perfection—I've worn my shirt inside-out in public too many times for that. How can you learn if you are perfect? Oh, and one more thing. Did I mention that my husband, Ryan, is awesome? Yeah, he is. Just so you know.

Hi, my name is Connie Collins and I am thrilled to have been selected for the 2013 Artisan Design Team. I was also an Artisan Award Winner in 2011 and a finalist for the Artisan Design Team in 2012. I have been a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator for over 13 years . . . you know, back BEFORE there was such a thing as Designer Series Paper and all the cool accessories we have now. I consider myself more of a hobby demonstrator, but I have a class or workshop every once in a while to support my stamping habit.

Just about every product is my favorite, but if you make me choose one (or two), then it would be the Big Shot, with My Digital Studio as a close second.

I don’t really know how to describe my stamping style. I just like to create things that make others happy. I lean more heavily toward Traditional/Elegant with a little bit of Shabby Chic thrown in the mix. But most of all, I am not afraid to experiment and try new things.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and have a lot of experience with designing publications. I sing in the church choir, play clarinet in church orchestra, and teach preschool crafts. Currently I am a stay-at-home mom and homeschool our 16-year-old son. I look forward to this coming year and hope that I can inspire others with the projects I create!
