Advent calendars are one of my favorite memories from the holiday seasons when I was growing up. The anticipation always got me so excited for Christmas. And now I can’t imagine a December without an advent calendar of some sort.
I decided to use Stampin’ Up!’s Petite Pocket Bigz XL Die to create my advent calendar this year. Because the holidays are always so hectic and busy, I decided on the 12 days of Christmas instead of 25. It was so quick and easy to assemble each pocket; I was even able to spend a little more time embellishing them!
Instead of filling my pockets with gifts or treats, I wanted to just fill them with special little notes. I sat down and wrote the 12 things I am most thankful for this holiday season. It was nice to take a time-out and just think about all the things I have to be thankful for. Once I got going, I had countless things to list. I could have easily gotten to 25. So I put more than one card in some of the advent pockets.
What are some creative or unique things you’ve made with your Petite Pocket Die?
Looks like I have a fun weekend planned! Woot! Thanks for sharing!
